Whole days to let on a well established family and syndicate shoot over 1,000 acres. Mixed quarry of pheasants and partridges mainly from covers but including woods later in the season. Bags 125-175 birds. Located just east of Braintree with good access to the A120 and A131.
Hospitality
Coffee at tea in the morning, drinks stop with chocolates and cake, soup and filled rolls and sausages at lunchtime, tea at the end.
Topography
Rolling countryside with high hedges, woods and grass valleys. Crossed by the river Blackwater.
About the hosts
The shoot owners are Simon and Sophie Dixon Smith whose family have been at Lyons Hall for over 100 years. They will host the day together with the gamekeeper Bob Percival.
