We are a classic East Anglian partridge shoot, on an arable farm just outside Chelmsford and with easy access from the A12. We present good partridges bursting over strong hedges, with a few pheasants mixed in for good measure. We run as a syndicate. The shoot has been running for many years, nearly twenty of those with me as shoot captain. We have previously taken part in the Best of Essex with our two top drives up there with the best.
Hospitality
Cooked breakfast, snacks and drinks, picnic lunch and dinner included.
Topography
Flat arable land with good hedges and some woodland.
Conservation Efforts
Our shoot supports a good population of geese and wild ducks, as well as muntjac deer and a variety of birds of prey.
About the hosts
We are a long-standing syndicate where I have been shoot captain for nearly twenty years. We now have a couple of spaces because of illness and retirement from age and infirmity. We are very friendly and relaxed, and welcome dogs and guests.
