Dogs that are under reasonable control are welcome and the team of picker upers will leave the guns with dogs to pick their own birds.

A mid day meal consisting of sausage rolls, Cornish pasties or something similar and drinks are provided, with a 2 course meal at the end of the day in the farm's own café/restaurant. The café/restaurant is in a converted 17th century thatched barn on the farm with two chef and will provide a tasty traditional English meal together with local beers and specially chosen wines
Topography
The majority of the drives are situated on slopes above Bourne Brook known locally by people that had shoot over it as "Happy Valley", the cover crop and woodland are placed about 20 metres above where the guns stand, allowing for very good presentation on the birds. The first 6 or 7 days in the season are purely partridge day although the odd very good pheasant sometimes end up in the bag, from mid November onwards the drives are a mix partridge and pheasant drives. The shoot also has a number of acres of mature woodland which comes into its own later in the season with the guns standing in rides with the birds sometime difficult to see, shot above the trees
