Pheasant
Partridge

Once included in The UK's top 25 Partridge Shoots by Field Magazine, Braxted Park has evolved into one of East Anglia's premier mixed days a mere 45 miles from central London. Since the introduction of the renowned Kansas Thunder pheasants (imported from fresh stock each year from the USA) the quality of the days is unsurpassed in the region. Spread over 2000 acres of unusually undulating land in Essex the shoot offers days of pure partridge or mixed partridge/pheasant shooting out of elevated maize crops back to woods or within mature woodland where the opportunity of shooting a left and right of partridge / pheasant in a tall mature oak ride will provide a gamebook entry and memory that will never be erased. Supplemented by an overnight stay in the main house with fine wines and cordon-bleu cooking this is corporate and syndicate entertainment of the highest quality within a short distance of the capitol.

Hospitality

Utterly professional but with family atmosphere. The Clark family have been hosting shooting days at Braxted Park since the Plessey Company days of 1946 when Sir Allen Clark, the founder of the Plessey Company still shot skeet for the English down the line skeet team. Highest quality keeping and beating team led by David Dronfield Sr and Jr.

Topography

Undulating. Maize crops on generally higher ground back to mature woods.

About the hosts

Duncan Clark: Owner of the Braxted Park Estate and Grandson of Sir Allen. Will host all new clients automatically to show them the ropes and then return if requested in following years.

Braxted shoot is always a highlight to the year, well organised friendly shoot, decent volumes of birds and the drives you are put on are well throughout for the day.
