Iford Downs Shoot is located on the edge of the South Downs National Park between Lewes and Brighton. The famous rolling hills and valleys of the South Downs and over 400 acres of strategically placed cover crops produce some of the best birds anywhere in the country. We can produce birds to challenge any teams abilities from high crossed wind partridge to stratospheric curling pheasants. Days available from September 1st from 150-500 birds.
Hospitality is second to none in our recently refurbished shoot lodge where we can prepare anything that your team requires along with a vast drink selection!
Local accommodation can be arranged to any standard but being only 90 minutes from London Iford is the ideal place to come and challenge yourself to some of the best birds around.
All of our birds are reared on our own game farm to the highest standards at Thorney Moss Game less than a mile away in Iford village.

About the hosts
Step forward one of my contenders for the title of 'Best Host' in The Shoot Awards 2020 that open in January - Jamie Horner of Iford Downs Shoot. Jamie has a Masters in Environmental Science, something that he brings thought into his passion for conservation in shooting. He's got ‘wizard wevel’ bird identification skills, and his passion for nature and conservation runs through the shoot like a golden thread. Couple this with a dose of Yorkshire humour from a guy who spends his season keepering on the South Coast and it makes for an interesting day.

The Iford downs shoot welcomed us at the shoot lodge with great views of the country side. Jamie's energy and enthusiasm at the morning meeting got the day off to a great start. Rolling valleys here are like they were specifically made for partridge shooting. The birds fly so well off these hills and give the guns a wide choice of birds. I would highly recommend this shoot to anyone.
