Whittingehame estate is 25 miles east of Edinburgh, 10 minutes from the A1 road. Once the family seat of Lord Balfour, now owned and managed by a branch of the family, as a family run shoot with some let days at driven pheasants, rough days and roe stalking.

The estate covers around 1500 acres, the centre of the estate is used for the driven pheasant shooting, with pheasants being driven off steep banks lined with mixed mature woodland, over a valley which runs the length of the estate. Bags in the region of 100 to 150 birds, the day is hosted by the owner and lunch is usually served in the owners home, Whittingehame Tower.

Rough shooting/ walked up shooting takes place on the arable parts of the estate, which have many game crops, hedge rows, small pockets of woodland and wetlands/bogs and ponds, which is suited for teams of 2 to 4 guns.

Roe stalking is available for bucks and does, when in season, with some nice medal heads been shot in the past. Stalking from high seats or accompanied with the estate stalker.

Local accommodation can be arranged with bed & breakfast guest houses or hotels in the area.
