Torr shoot

This is a relatively small shoot at only 500 acres of which a large proportion is reed land ideal for walked up and driven shooting holding a wide variety of quarry from pheasants thought to woodcock and snipe. So much so the 'snipe drive' can hold numbers ranging into the hundreds and can offer some fantastic driven sport to a team of keen eyed guns. This reed land also offers some challenging but rewarding roe stalking opertunitys and has produced some magnificent trophies. The topography isn't what you would call 'vertical' like the ground some shoots can offer but the way in which the pheasants are driven from the predominantly man made conifer and hard wood drives will even give the most experienced team of guns a thing or two to think about. The shoot isn't run as a commercial enterprise and most of the shooting is kept for private invitation but the thrill of entertaining paying guests and the push to cover some costs has lead to selling a day or two and all of the roe buck stalking. Duck flights are also available to anyone interested. Since writing this out shoot has taken on a lot more ground. Almost tripling in size. All the new ground is bordering the heart of the shoot which is still torr and adding some much needed drives and stalking opertunities.
