Sherborne Castle Estate Shoot is situated in the rolling and unspoilt west Dorset countryside, immediately to the southeast of Sherborne.
The shoot is set predominantly in the outstanding 'Capability Brown' Park, Deer park and woodland at Sherborne Castle and covers some 3000 acres of the Estate. There are a mix of woodland and open ground drives, showing quality sporting birds ( pheasant ).
It is, principally, a private shoot on a traditional Estate with a friendly atmosphere and good hospitality in very attractive surroundings.
The guns meet at the Castle Stables for coffee and a briefing. Guns can take their own 4x4 vehicles if they wish, although some transport is also provided. Lunch can either be in the middle or at the end of the day, and is in a thatched lodge in the Deer park.
We have availability for 250 bird days available in October/November
Suggestions for suitable overnight accommodation within a twenty mile radius of Sherborne can be provided, if required.

Hospitality
Hot bullshot, sausage rolls and sticky drinks for elevenses. Lunch is in our thatched shoot bothy in the middle of our historic deer park. 2 course lunch with cheese. Ending the day with tea back in the shoot room.
