We are in the heart of Dorset. We are a family run shoot covering 3,500 acres with around 12 drives. We are working farm with beef, dairy and arable. We are a mainly pheasants but we do also put some partridge and duck down to vary the day.
We shoot using woods and cover crops. With us being a working farm we work around the farm and crop rotation. We are in EFI schemes meaning we do use environmental mixes.
Hospitality
We have a shoot/meeting room which is cosy and warming. It's in the heart of the farm. We have our own chefs so can cater for diatory requirements. Everything is refreshly prepared and freshly cooked in site.
Topography
The whole shoot covers arrange of topography. We therefore have a wide range of drives to cater for all peoples abilities.
Conservation Efforts
We are within the EFI scheme and we use wild bird mixes to help feed wild birds through the winter and we feed during the spring months after the shooting season to help during the breeding season.
About the hosts
Everyone in the family is fully involved within the day, whether it's hosting the day, cooking and preparing food. We do the game keeping so heavily involved from start to finish. We enjoy shooting ourselves so have been on the other side!
