We offer days of mixed wild bird shooting from mid November till the end of January. The wild birds consist of woodcock, snipe, teal, mallard, Pheasant, golden plover and pigeons. Small teams of 4 guns are welcome for woodcock day’s and up to 10 guns for snipe days. Over the years I have built up 20,000 acres of shooting around west Devon, north Devon and north Cornwall area. This land is made up of deep wooded valleys, dairy farms, the river tamar, snipe bogs and flight ponds. All the shooting is driven by a team of beaters and dogs. Our average days are a mixed bag of around 20. We aim for around 10 drives in a day. The day also includes lunch, normally in a pub but this season a fresh made hearty field lunch may be more appropriate depending on guidelines. Accommodation can be sorted, where the birds can prepared for evening dinner.
Hospitality
A main course pub lunch if guidelines allow or a hearty field lunch. We try to stop for no longer than 1 hour due to the dark evenings.
Topography
The land is a mix of rolling Devon hills, wooded valleys and moorland.
