The North Molton Shoot is fortunate to operate over an extensive 15,000 acres of Sporting rights, on the South West fringe of Exmoor, with multiple Drive options, allowing the Shoot to adapt to all weather conditions, also c.1000 feet altitude difference, from low to high ground.
Famed for high driven Pheasants, flown across the deep valleys and combes, that run down off the high Moor, the Shoot has also extended its Partridge Shooting ground in the higher upland country of Exmoor, to give exciting high quality early season Partridge, followed by wonderful mixed Partridge & early released Pheasant sport in October, meanwhile allowing Pheasants to fully mature within the main centre of the Shoot, to offer classic West Country high bird Pheasant shooting throughout November, December and January.
Hospitality
Heasley House provides comfortable and attractively furnished accommodation, located in the centre of the Shoot, this intimate hotel offers 8 en suite bedrooms, but also a range of further hotels are available in close proximity.
Topography
Dramatic steep sided Combes and Goyles, carved out by fast running streams, springing from the top of Exmoor which naturally lend themselves to producing high driven birds. These streams flow into the River Mole, which courses through deep woodlands into the Old Park at North Molton, with classic high bird drives, one after another, giving a wide scope for variety, upon which the North Molton Shoot prides itself.
