Small friendly Devon shoot. Set up over twenty years ago. Shooting eight Mondays October to January aiming to shoot 20 birds a day. Poults, ex layers and duck have been ordered and confirmed for delivery late July/early August. Syndicate members enjoy meeting new guns and are making one gun available for paying guests.
Hospitality
Tea/coffee/bap in the shoot hut when we meet, bring your own lunch. The shoot hut is a converted stable block, no trace of former inhabitants with light, power and water.
Topography
Permanent pasture grazed by cattle and cut for hay in the summer. Centred on a valley with a stream running through woodland at the bottom and two Combes running down to the valley.
About the hosts
The shoot was set up some twenty years ago by friends who played darts in the summer and wanted a winter activity. Some of the original members still shoot including the farmer whose land the shoot takes place on.
