Hollamoor is predominantly a private, family-run shoot, supported by a brilliant team who work hard to produce truly fantastic days. Due to the rising costs, our birds are now £59+VAT; the days are 110 birds. We do not charge overage, but equally, we do not pay underage. The average ratio throughout the season is 3.5 shots to one pheasant. We’re very happy for you all to bring your lovely partners and then you can make a whole weekend of it; we dress up and party both nights. There is plenty to do for people who do not want to join the shooting party (beach walks, enchanting, coastal villages to visit etc.)
Hospitality
The price includes the following for you:
- A full breakfast (for those staying in the house to include eggs, bacon, black pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes)
- Hot shoot picnic (including homemade sloe gin, soup & sausages) delivered by our miniature Shetland pony
- 3-course, hot lunch including cheese with pre-lunch drinks, wine and port included
- Tea (4 different teas) with home-made cakes etc.
- Our hospitality extends free to any family members who would like to join you on the day. Overnight accommodation:
- Bed & Breakfast (per double room): £128.00
- Dinner (per person): £62.00 (please bring your own drinks)
Topography
The estate is beautifully divided by a central ridge, from which we take four drives that provide fantastic, sporting birds. Taking full advantage of our surroundings, we then have three traditional drives out of plantations and woodland. After lunch, the highlight is our signature drive over the lakes, with two guns positioned on islands for a truly memorable experience.
About the hosts
Sir Bourchier and Lady Caroline Wrey have built this shoot up over 15 years with their fabulous Game keeper, Beat keeper and beating team.

A fantastic weekend! Our shooting party was made up of regulars and newcomers with the fun starting Friday night. Hosts Caroline and George Wrey showed us to a lovely room before drinks and a super evening meal with some of the team who had arrived early. Saturday kicked off with a cooked breakfast before heading out for the shooting. Good quality birds were presented over varying terrain and some testing high shots were to be had on most drives. The beating team were out in force and worked hard, keeping the day running smoothly. We stayed on Saturday night (party night) before heading out and I must say, all credit to the Wrey's for their energy and hospitality. We bought a days's shooting online and we got the professionally run day we paid for, but what we also experienced were the extras; the attention to detail, friendliness and genuine desire for everyone to have fun. Well played Caroline, George and Team - and thanks again.
