Historic shooting estate, 3000 acres, perfect for quality pheasant and partridge shooting. Situated on the edge of Dartmoor National park only 12 mile from Exeter. Great Fulford has many long established drives and many excellent new drives. The shoot benefits its own comfortable shoot lodge and great chef.
GAME SHOOTING . A typical day comprises 8:45-9:00 am meet. Bacon rolls tea & coffee. Two or three drives, elevenses in the field, one or two more drives before returning to the lodge for drinks and a 3 course lunch.
The normal bag is between 200 and 350 birds. Bigger tailor made days can be arranged. We are able to put on back to back days and provide local loaders and instructors if required.
There are a number of excellent local hotels and inns.

Hospitality
Our in house chef presents perfectly cooked traditional English fare. Roast lunches with seasonal vegetables, good quality wine and delicious desert made that day, plus a good cheese board with port to finish. Food preferences catered for by request.
Birds
Classic Devon pheasant and partridge shooting with birds driven out of natural woodland and game covers, over deep valleys, producing exciting challenging birds.
Topography
The stunning topography is perfect for the presentation of superb Devon pheasants and partridge. Great Fulford has a varied mix of drives, based around the steep valleys, steep wooded valleys and game covers above the valleys. The number of drives available allows us to cope with almost all weather conditions to ensure we provide an exciting and challenging day for even the most accomplished guns. Drives such as Quarry, Cleve Copse and Carnal Valley will challenge the most experienced guns.
About the hosts
Run by the same team for 15 years, on a "not-for profit" basis. The shoot is a passion that I am delighted to share with my guns, many of whom have now become close friends. I am pleased to see guns with dogs and we will ensure the gun has time to pick some birds at the end of each drive if they wish. Guests are welcome.

An excellent day all round - a very friendly, expert team who put on a memorable experience. The simulation of game shooting was very much at the fore of the shooting provided, making for an exciiting day. I really recommed a trip here. You will not be disappointed.

What a Cracking day. I booked for myself and two other guns, we were warmly welcomed on arrival with a coffee and bacon roll. After our briefing we set out for the day and what a day. The landscape provides a brilliant mix of birds to suit all abilities. With wonderful views on all drives it was a corker of a day. Guy and James provided an extra drive as the bag was a little light. You really can't ask for more, that just shows the pride and care they have for their shoot. Thank you to Guy and James for the day and to all the other guns they were a brilliant bunch. I will definitely be booking again.

Wow! Fab from start to finish. I booked as a single gun and was made incredibly welcomed by guy and his team and the other guns. I can’t put into words how pleasant the host is, a guns gun wasn’t working, no probs a replacement was found. The bag was a bit light on drive 4 and we kept going until we over exceeded the bag. Would fully recommend this shoot and will deffo be returning. Beautiful topography and an all round triumph!
