Prestigious Driven High Bird Shoot in North Wales. Situated surrounding the small village of Betws Gwerfil Goch, the shoot stands in a secluded rural valley of outstanding natural beauty in the heart of rolling countryside, some 9 miles from Ruthin, 5 miles Corwen and approximately 2 miles from the A5 Trunk Road in Maerdy with good links to Chester and the North Wales Coast.
Hospitality
All our days include full hospitality, guns will arrive in the morning for a full cooked english breakfast and will have elevenses (champagne, slow gin and light bites) out in the field after the first or second drive. But this can be tailored to invidious requirements at your request. Non shooting guests are also welcome.
Topography
Here at Betws GG we pride ourselves at showing high birds. The shoot is set amongst 5000 acres of steep forest valley’s, woodland, Moore land , and cover crops. The shoot is split into two beats, Betws and The Glyn with topography that is perfect for producing high birds on every drive to test the skills of the most experienced guns.
About the hosts
The days are hosted by Neil Hoggins himself, who has a vast experience of game shooting and a real passion for the sport. Which enables him to make sure everybody has a truest memorable day here with us at Betws GG.

Mr. Lee Watters
This little gem of a shoot is outstanding all round from the staff to the birds, first class host and most friendly beaters I’ve came across... the whole experience of shooting here really is top notch. The afternoon teas surely have to be one of the best you’d find anywhere and elevenses in the field are outstanding, wish we could keep this shoot to ourselves!!!! Well done Neil and Nick

Shot here twice now. Both days were excellent. Set in fantastic countryside. Warm welcome from Neill and team. Very high challenging birds. Plenty of them. Would recommend to anyone.
