Whitrigg Estate is set over 2000 acres of beautiful scenery in the heart of the Northern Lake District, providing first class sport with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The shooting offers some extremely challenging partridge with some good quality pheasant drives mixed in throughout the day.
A typical day at Whitrigg begins with and pegs are drawn we drive into the estate and to the first drive. Normally we shoot 4-6 drives during the day with refreshments on hand at all times. Lunch is normally taken back at the bothy, but weather permitting a ‘field picnic’ can be offered. Shoot guests are transported around the estate in our all terrain vehicles, so no need for your own 4x4.
Visiting guns are welcome to bring a loader or chaperone and well behaved peg dogs are also welcome.
We have a great and friendly beating and picking up team at Whitrigg who help to ensure that the shoot days run smoothly and, more importantly, are most enjoyable.
The driven days on offer for 2018/19 season are targeting around the 200 bird area for teams of 8-10 guns. We also have some small walked up days on offer for teams of 4-6 guns.
Regards,
Whitrigg Estate
