Lingholm Shoot is situated in the heart of the Lake District, with steep hills, high crags and deep wooded valleys, making it perfect to present extremly high and fast pheasants and partridge. The estate has a long history and was bought as a pheasant shoot in the early 1900s because of its superb terrain and stunning scenery.
Lingholm has a Shooting Gazette recommendation.
There are a small number of days to let. Most of the days at Lingholm are set in stone, this is rare opportunity to shoot Lingholms testing birds.

Hospitality
The day starts with a warm welcome and a drink in our purpose built shoot lodge, a mid morning drink and snack will be served in the field. A two course lunch is served in the shoot lodge with a choice of drinks. At the end of the day home cooked baking is served with tea and coffe. Plenty of local accommodation available that can also be arranged.
Topography
With some of the most stunning views in the UK, Lingholm shoot is blessed with having superb topography for driven shooting. Swinside fell, the main shooting block on the estate has a number of high pheasant and partridge drives each one as testing as the other. Swinside stands proud in the Newlands valley with views over looking Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite lake, please see photos attached.
About the hosts
Lingholm shoot has been run for the last twenty five years by the owners. Lingholm has tremendous reputation for shooting aswell as its friendly atmosphere. We give all clients a proffesional and well organised shoot day. All new clients are invited to have a look round the estate before potentially booking a days shooting.

We shot through on a very windy day in advance of Storm Brendan and although this and the wind made some of the drives difficult for the shoot, we all had a fantastic day in a beautiful place. This was only achievable due to the underlying organisation and efficiency of the team, no time wasting or fannying about but without the guns feeling rushed or pressed. A great day and would thoroughly recommend Lingholm.

Superb high pheasants and partridges and hospitality second to none. Mike the keeper is brilliant at organising the shoot and getting birds over the guns. We had a fantastic day and the quarry drive has to be shot to be believed. Stunning!!!

Great day despite the weather, warm welcome and very well organised day. The quality & quantity of the birds was fantastic with some testing birds to challenge most guns, great sport. Not disappointed! We have had two more wonderful 200 bird days this November, at what is fast becoming a favourite trip out. Michael and Noel and the rest of the team as helpful and friendly as ever with just the right balance of encouragement and banter. Excellent meal and facilities, only wish I had more spare money!! We will be back next season all being well.
