Hoff Lunn is a long established family run shoot set in the Eden valley offering mixed pheasant, duck and partridges.
We shoot over 400 acres of woods and 1,200 acres of farmland, which offers challenging and interesting shooting, particularly the river drives.
We can accommodate days of 150+ birds and match the day to your needs.
We aim to provide good sport in a very friendly atmosphere. Lunch is served in the shoot lodge and we generally serve game which has been harvested from the estate.
Hospitality
3 course lunch served in the bespoke shoot lodge. We only serve game on the shoot as a principal. All drinks included with lunch.
Birds
We have over 30 drives and the birds are driven out of woodland and hill side cover. Most drives are medium to high-medium height between 40-60 yards. We have some high bird drives, please enquire to find out more.
Topography
Large woodland areas and several duck ponds including a large part of the river eden. The ground has some steep banks which offer higher birds. The shoot has over 30 drives with a variety of offerings.
Conservation Efforts
New planting plans are implemented annually for carbon sequestration and diverse cover cropping which benefits a variety of species.
About the hosts
Charlie and John Paxton are 3rd generation owners and have run the shooting since 2020. It is a family run business with a close team of keepers and beaters.

Had the privilege of shooting a mini driven day hear and can not recommend it enough fantastic countryside , quality and quantity of birds faultless and had the pleasure of spotted 3 red squirrels a king Fisher and loads of roe deer amazing and fantastic all round day will be back as soon as they will have me thanks Charlie and team 😁👍
