Lampetho, is on the south coast of mid Cornwall. It is located in the centre of a large valley with amazing topography for driven shooting. We are currently a syndicate shoot putting down 1200 pheasants, 300 partridge and 200 duck. The shoot has been a great success and has grown year on year. This is the first time we are selling a day on the shoot, but I feel it is a necessity to ensure the future of the shoot, and keep membership costs down to a sustainable level.
Hospitality
Guns will have full access to the shoot room, with tea, coffee and cake available at all times. Pasties/sausage rolls are available at lunchtime followed by cake. Plenty of port circulating around the room.
Topography
The farm/shoot is in the bottom of a large valley. Guns will be at the bottom of the valley at all times. Ducks are then driven down the valley from the ponds. pheasant and partridge are then driven from the south side to the north side over the guns.
Conservation Efforts
Trapping of rodents and corvids is always ongoing. Also part of the grey leg reintroduction programme in the area. The farm/shoot is in a stewardship scheme where all the cover crops are RB9 compliant. Thus providing cover and feed for songbirds.
About the hosts
Myself...Dan Tuckett will be your host. I am 27 years old and have always had an avid in farming and gamekeeping. At the age of 12, I would be beating on local shoots, thus growing my interest for the sport. Once I finished with my education I came home to work on the family farm and had the opportunity to start my own shoot and rear gamebirds. I now find myself as shoot captain and head keeper on the shoot.

I had a great day shooting here in good company and luckily the best of weather. The owners , beaters and the syndicate were professional and great fun. Admitting to being 70 years old on applying I was assured it would make no difference whatsoever which was true . All ages here working together. I drove in the half mile entrance in a saloon with no problems , except perhaps a bit muddy ! Very reasonably priced. Thanks and Merry Christmas to all Lester Gunn
