Pheasant

Our shoot is a small family run affair. We put down around 900 pheasants and 200 ducks which aids a successful day out. We aim for a fun, light hearted experience rather than a large bag. The main quarry is pheasant although there is opportunity for ducks also.

Hospitality

Tea, coffee and cake will greet the guns upon arrival. After the first two drives we will stop for elevenses consisting of cake and a glass of port or a hot drink if preferred. Lunch will be a traditional Cornish pasty as well as egg and bacon pie with dessert to follow. Transport is available for all guns via a shoot trailer to each drive.

Topography

The shoot spreads across approximately 600 acres of scenic farmland consisting of grassland, arable and some rough ground situated in some of the most stunning parts of central cornwall with incredible topography for driven shooting.

Conservation Efforts

The farm/shoot has cover strips/fields in set aside providing cover and feed for songbirds. Aswell as this we have planted over 1500 trees across the shoot.

About the hosts

The shoot is family run affair. Each of us have a keen interest in the sport and are keen on securing the future of our shoot.
