We are a small, informal self-help syndicate covering 750 acres of the East side of the beautiful Bodnant Estate in Conwy, North Wales, by the famous National Trust Bodnant Garden. The Shoot is 10 minutes from the A55 and just off the A470. Shooting is mainly driven, with some walked up. The countryside and the views acoss the Conwy Valley towards Snowdonia are stunning. Bag sizes have averaged around 50, the main quarry being pheasant with some duck, and woodcock. This season we are excited to have taken on additional ground, extending to over 1000 acres enabling us to put down more birds and increasing the number of drives. We also have been able to enlist the help of an experienced Keeper We unexpectedly have 1 half Gun available for 26/27so please enquire if interested. Alternatively we can offer one or two single pegs on a few days. We shoot on Fridays and Saturdays. 8 days including a final clear up day plus one let day for a full team or individual Guns Please contact us for further information.
Hospitality
Syndicate Guns are asked to bring refreshments to share with the exception of the Keeper's let day, which is catered. In addition, the National Trust cafe is open all year under normal circumstances. We have access to a barn with seating and wood burner for lunch.
Topography
The Shoot covers quite hilly, but generally not excessively steep ground, consisting of mature mixed woodland, gorse banks, gullies, producing some excellent sporting targets. There are also good flight ponds Accessibility by vehicle and by foot is relatively easy.
About the hosts
Terry and Sheila Potter and their son James have lived locally for many years and are in attendance every shoot day. The Shoot is not profit making; and run solely because of the hosts’ love of the sport and the countryside.

A friendly family/friends run shoot with excellent beaters. The host are very welcoming to newcomers and make you feel at home. It’s a new shoot and with the experience at hand this shoot will become something special in the future.
