Over 15,000 acres of unspoilt natural beauty.For the most part forests are commercially exploited and the landscape can constantly change with mature trees becoming cleared and replanted within a short period of time. The demand for deer control can therefore also change with more pressure required on certain areas at different times. For those who haven’t stalked commercial forestry in Northern Ireland before, please don’t expect the stalking to be a walk in the park. It’s challenging to say the least but very rewarding. You can be surrounded by deer ( red, fallow and sika)and never see them due to the cover and tree density and anyone who wants to cover 1000 acres in a morning then this isn’t for you.

At Alderwood Sporting we only offer syndicate stalking membership. Our syndicate rifle vacancies are for the more experienced stalker it is preferable that they are at least DSC Level 1 qualified. These vacancies are offered on an annual basis with unlimited stalking and hunting opportunties. This gives our stalkers the opportunity to experience deer stalking over a wide variety of terrain from traditional Irish Farmland, Conifer Forest to the rolling Moorland Hills and Valleys. The predominant deer is the Fallow and Sika we also have some Red Deer.
