Dunteige Shoot is located in the Glen of Glenarm one of the world famous nine Glens of Antrim. The Shoot is run on the family farm with a fairly relaxed approach, the contour of the land makes this a great sporting shoot as the drives make the most of the farmland being located on a river valley producing quality high birds passing over the guns. We offer driven mallard duck days with bags to suit the requirements of each visiting group from 100-300 bird days, we welcome single guns on our shoot and shooters are welcome to work their own dogs for picking up providing they are kept under control. Days can be tailored to suit each group of guns and their individual requirements.
The shoot is situated twenty miles from Belfast international airport, The local area offers many great places to stay, some of our visiting guns stay in Belfast city centre were they enjoy the city nightlife or there are a few of the local villages which have good quality hotels, here you can relax after a day’s shooting or enjoy the “crac” in the local traditional pubs and Restaurants.
Each driven day package will consist of tea/coffee on arrival, depending on the size of the bag expected the shooting day can last anywhere between 4-6 hours, on completion of the shooting, a warm meal will be served in the shoot room where you can relax after your days shooting .

Topography
The shoot is spread across open hill ground and woodland valleys, perfect topography for producing high fast birds.

Hi most people know me as Casper , I arranged a day with Kevin last month, the weather was in our favour that day as the wind was up, the birds went very well and at times were on the edge, plenty of birds to pick from but not much time to think as they had passed , Kevin has a good set up and goes to a lot of trouble and effort to make sure you have a great day, but can't pick the weather but we all know the rougher the better.

Just back from another amazing day with Kevin and the team at Dunteige. The location is outstanding the drives high and fast. Have been to bigger shoots that haven't been as friendly and as much fun . Hospitality second to none . Craic was 90 great bunch of guys ..roll on next time

What's the formula for a memorable days shooting? If it's fantastic scenery, high challenging birds, warm hospitality and good value for money then Dunteige has all the ingredients. This is a compact shoot with good access to pegs but the topography ensures there is plenty of variety in the shots On both occasions when I have shot here, Kevin and his enthusiastic team have put on a splendid, informal and rewarding day.

I shot Dunteige shoot for the first time yesterday . It will not be my last ! The shooting was informal but very we'll organised . The mallard flew high and fast providing excellent challenging shooting . Our host Kevin was warm welcoming and hospitable .. All in all first class !

A friend and I have just returned after a great day on this shoot this Saturday 14th Sept, will be returning again. Very relaxed and all involved are very keen that you have a great day. The birds are very well presented. Belfast is also a wonderful city to spend some time in. All round a very enjoyable experience.
