Gyrn Castle is a long-established parkland shoot, where gently sloping fields and thoughtfully planted woodland combine to deliver consistently sporting birds and a refined, traditional day’s shooting in a truly classic setting
Hospitality
Hospitality at Gyrn Castle is an integral part of the experience, with syndicate and let days enjoying a hearty breakfast, a well-earned elevenses in the field, and a relaxed evening meal to conclude the day. Walked-up days are offered without hospitality, allowing for a more informal outing while still maintaining the quality of sport.
Birds
Pheasant is the principal quarry at Gyrn, with a carefully considered range of drives offering sport for all levels, including birds that will test the very best of shots. Large, mature woods and thoughtfully established cover crops are used to present the birds well and show the very best of what the estate has to offer. Classic driven pheasant in a traditional parkland setting.
Topography
Traditional parkland, set within the rolling Welsh countryside in and around the castle grounds. Gently undulating terrain, interspersed with established woodland and natural features, provides a varied and attractive backdrop, ideally suited to presenting pheasants in a classic and sporting manner.
