Our focus is on delivering exceptional service, world-class hunting, and a relaxed atmosphere where you can unwind and enjoy every part of the trip. It's hospitality built for serious waterfowl hunters who appreciate comfort and efficiency.

Accommodation

For many hunters, the experience off the field matters just as much as the time spent in the blind. At Cloud 9 Outfitters, guests enjoy modern double-occupancy rooms with private bathrooms and essential comforts like Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and satellite TV. The lodge offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere and serves chef-prepared meals daily.

We host a limited number of hunters each week to ensure a personalized experience — rooms are allocated as part of your package, with no additional accommodation fees. Everything is included, so you can focus entirely on the hunt and the hospitality.

Birds

At Cloud 9 Outfitters, the shooting is fast, challenging, and deeply rewarding. Our hunts are designed to put you under big, working flocks in the right conditions — birds committed and feet down. You'll shoot over expertly set decoy spreads with professional guides calling the shots. Expect high-volume action on mallards, pintails, Canada geese, specklebellies, and snow geese.

This isn’t pass shooting or skybusting — it's precision waterfowling with birds in your face. Whether you're a seasoned wingshooter or a first-time visitor to Canada, the quality and pace of the shooting will leave a lasting impression.

Note: We do not offer boar or big game shooting — our focus is entirely on world-class waterfowl.

Topography

Our hunts take place in a truly unique part of Alberta where river valleys cut through rolling farmland, framed by stands of aspen, poplar, and willow. It’s a landscape shaped by migrating birds — open skies, long vistas, and rich agricultural ground that attracts massive flocks of ducks and geese each fall.

It’s not rugged or remote — it’s open, fertile, and alive with movement. The kind of place where you can see birds coming from miles away and watch the sunrise spill across a frosted field. It’s waterfowl country at its finest.

Conservation Efforts

Absolutely. At Cloud 9 Outfitters, conservation is more than a talking point — it’s part of our foundation. In the off-season, I work directly with Ducks Unlimited Canada, contributing to wetland protection and waterfowl habitat enhancement across Alberta. We also support local community groups with both financial contributions and volunteer time.

While guests won’t see large-scale projects during their visit, they will notice conservation-focused elements on the landscape, like hen houses placed to support local nesting populations. Our commitment to sustainability ensures that the resource — and the tradition — thrives for generations to come.

About the hosts

You’ll feel like you’re hunting with friends who know the land, respect the birds, and want you to have the kind of day you’ll talk about all year. It’s not formal or rigid — just serious hunting, great company, and a few laughs along the way.
