Six Mile Bottom Shoot have taken on a small pheasant and partridge shoot on the Kirtling Estate, where days start with bacon rolls in the old keeper’s yard, include relaxed elevenses back at the yard, and finish with a cosy shoot supper in the local pub — all set on a beautiful Cambridgeshire estate with great topography
Hospitality
Bacon rolls, tea & coffee cooked and served al fresco in the old keeper’s yard, traditional elevenses also back at the yard, with shoot supper at The Red Lion in Kirtling.
Birds
Driven pheasants and partridges through traditional woods, over hedges and game covers on a beautiful Cambridgeshire estate, offering classic, enjoyable sporting birds.
Topography
Kirtling sits on Cambridgeshire farmland with soft undulations, with traditional woods, hedges and cover crops providing natural lines for driven pheasant and partridge.
Conservation Efforts
Kirtling is a traditional Cambridgeshire estate managed with wildlife and habitat in mind. We work independently but within the estate’s conservation practices, maintaining woods, hedges and cover crops that support gamebirds and wider species. Responsible feeding and predator control help keep a balanced ecosystem, and shoot days are run sympathetically to minimise disturbance. The result is healthy woodland, strong hedgerows and thriving farmland wildlife alongside classic driven pheasant and partridge shooting.
