Winchbottom Shoot

Our 1800 acre shoot is set on the undulating  ground deep in the Chilterns, which lends its self to produce some very high birds for the area, only 30 miles from the centre of London. We have been running for 27years as a  commercial shoot, showing very good, both Pheasants and Partridges. On a typical day the guns would meet in the shoot room for coffee, and bacon rolls. Then start shooting around 9.30. stopping for a drink mid morning. Then carry on shooting, till aprox. 1pm.  Back for a 2 course lunch, with wine, then out for the remaining drives in the afternoon. We are looking for teams of up to 10  guns for the day. We can cater for Corperate shooting days, and if your guns are needing "minders" for safety reasons, we have qualified instructors who can help. We can offer days, up to 500 birds, depending the time of the season. We also put on Simulated game days, during the closed season. The format for these, would be, almost  the same as a game day. Normaly two drives, then mid morning drinks, then another drive. Lunch around 1pm, then out for one more drive. These days cater for 14 to 20 guns, pairing up on a stand, and taking it in turns to load for each other. We will throw up to 10,000 clays, on the day.  Be expected to fire up to 750 cartridges,(not included) on a typical day.
