Friendly family-run shoot on the edge of the Chiltern Hills offering a 250 bird day and lunch at Hall Barn, our 17th century Grade II* listed home.
Hospitality
Guns will be provided with tea and coffee on arrival, elevenses in the field, lunch in our dining room, including wine and port, as well as tea and cake at the end of the day. Meals are home-made and we pride ourselves on using as much Estate produce as possible.
Birds
We shoot both pheasant and partridge, although pheasant dominate. The terrain is varied so guns can expect a good mixture of field and woodland shooting with opportunities for challenging birds on a number of drives.
About the hosts
The day's shooting is hosted by the owners of the house, myself and my wife, and we aim to provide a comfortable, relaxed, yet traditional atmosphere in and around our family home.
Travel information
Within an hour of London and just off Junction 2 of the M40
Final thoughts
The house has hosted a shoot since the early 20th century and was the site of the record number of pheasant shot, in a party led by George V in 1913.
