Pheasant
Partridge

The shoot is an important part of the Carington Estate, which embraces property interests near Marlow and High Wycombe

Much of the Estate is farmed, either in-hand or by long-standing tenants. Principal crops are wheat and barley, whilst grassland provides pasture for an expanding sheep flock.

The shoot is based near Marlow and covers approximately 1800 acres of undulating farmland and woods offering a variety of challenging drives.

The first entry in the family Game Book is dated the 28th October 1869, when the Prince of Wales (who later became King Edward VII) was the principal guest and the bag was recorded as a total of 446. The Game Book also records there were 12 Kangaroos in the coverts (which were not shot!)

We look forward to welcoming new and previous shooting guests to come and enjoy high quality and challenging shooting both partridges and pheasants in the Chiltern Hills in an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere. We offer an imaginative variety of quality drives as well as regular refreshments and an excellent lunch. For many people we have the significant advantage of being located less than 30 miles from Central London (which removes the need for some people) for overnight accommodation.
