At Scottish Borders Sporting, you will find some of the best shooting topography in Scotland! We offer many different packages to suit a range of budgets and styles, we are extremely flexible and build sporting packages to your requirements. We can offer a most fabulous driven or walked up day on our exclusive sporting Estate in the lush and beautiful Scottish Borders on the edge of the Lammermuir Hills, which is only a 40 min drive from Edinburgh airport. Experience some of the most spectacular driven birds over incredible terrain. There is a vast amount of choice on offer to suit your requirements - if you are looking for a Mini or Driven Day of 50 - 70 bag, we can provide it. If your requirements are for a friendly walked up day we can also offer it. Driven Pheasant, Partridge and Duck shooting is available, with Woodcock (conditions permitting). Duck Flighting from our many ponds and Gun Dog Training days on live quarry (please enquire as to your specific needs). We can include hospitality, various packages are available on request.
Birds
Pheasants driven from high banks and woods, to challenging partridge over valley contours! Driven ducks form many ponds located across the estate add to the fun!
Topography
Hills, valleys, gullies, woodland, natural ponds, facing the Lammermuir Hills, some very high ground! Burns, farmland, cover crops, we have access to some of the most stunning topography in the Scottish Borders.
Conservation Efforts
Sew wild bird crops, we leave ground nesting bird areas during vulnerable nesting season. Predator control. Fibre wads only.
About the hosts
All your hosts are professional Game Keepers, Guides, Ghillies, and Game Shooting Coaches. We will accompany you and ensure your shooting trip runs to our high standards. We are there to make your trip a memorable one. As an RFD, let us arrange your Shotgun hire/Visitor Shotgun/Rifle permits, game cartridges, transport of shotguns etc. Also, activities for the non shooters in your party. All you have to do is ask, nothing is too much trouble. We want you to arrive and be relaxed, everything has been taken care of! Contact us today.
Travel information
40 minutes Edinburgh Airport. Vehicle necessary as remote location. A chauffeur service and RFD to assist with guns/rifles is offered, please enquire. Visitor firearms permits arranged.
Final thoughts
We are a working farm that is focused on organically grown crops and preserving the natural ecosystem of the land. Holidays cottages are available and offered to our guns and are encouraged to stay on site at this beautiful location.

It is some years since I started shooting with the SBS team. I have had many days with them, and they provided a full day for me in October this year which was described by my guests as memorable. The diversity of shooting offered is outstanding - they go out of their way to help as many people as possible into the sport, whilst at the same time providing testing shooting for the very experienced. It says a great deal about the standard of planning, gamekeeping and conservation that this operation has thrived this year while so many have struggled. Oh, and the country in which the shoot lies is stunning.

My first single peg mixed driven day. An exceptional experience. The host Tracy, from my initial enquiry and throughout the day was very helpful and informative. The Gamekeeper and all the team did an outstanding job in the presentation of the Game. Overall an enjoyable day spent with a friendly team of guns. Looking forward to a return visit.

I filled in as a single gun having had a notification of a space through Guns on Pegs Premium. I love shooting partridge, but didn't know the shoot, so went with an open mind. I had an outstanding day, on drives that far exceeded my expectations. The hosting and all of the keepering were exemplary and I commend this friendly and inclusive shoot provider to all. The expert and the beginner are well looked after and catered for.
