Wooplaw and Torwoodlee shoot covers some 3,500 acres of undulating countryside in the Scottish Borders, only 45 minutes south from Edinburgh.

It rises from 500 feet above sea level to approx 1,200 feet, with a good variation of drives mainly from mature woodland and conifer shelter belts with an average of 150 birds per day mostly pheasants but you can expect to pick a few partridges on a number of drives. There are over 15 drives and ones such as Craigs, Herne Hill ,Bee Hives, Face and Well Wood produce birds of superb quality ,speed and height.

Guns meet for coffee in the morning with a typical day consisting of four or five drives with a break for elevenses and a stop for a homemade lunch around 1.00pm. Guns are encouraged to bring along well behaved dogs and partners.

The syndicate is captained by Charlie Anderson, an able and organised host, with many years experience running shoot days and has a full time gamekeeper in it's employment.

The syndicate shoots a mixture of weekdays and Saturdays and consists of nine guns with vacancies available for this coming season. We now offer accompanied roe deer stalking and wild duck flights.
