Hungerford Park Estate is located in the lowlands of the North Wessex Downs, approximately an hour west of London, 10 minutes south of the M4 at Junction 14.
The estate has a healthy managed population of Roe, Fallow and Muntjac, providing ample opportunities for stalking throughout the year. Large woodlands, vast grassy pastures and arable land partitioned with spinneys and wide hedgerows provide a wide spectrum of stalking experiences.
The estate aims to cater for all abilities, experience and budgets. Numerous highseats, stalking guides and 4x4 vehicles make it possible for us to accommodate parties of up to 4 people for several days. Comfortable, affordable and flexible accommodation is available in close proximity to the estate enabling our guides to pick-up and drop-off before and after outings. Limited stalking attire and equipment can be provided along with the use of the estate rifles. Deer carcasses shot by the client can be purchased from the estate at market value if requested. Trophy buck heads will be measured if suspected to make medal status, and can be mounted at an additional cost to the client. Insurance cover is provided by the estate but it is recommended that anyone partaking in field sports seek personal insurance through membership to BASC, BDS, NGO or Countryside Alliance.
Topography
Lowland managed farmland with large woodland blocks creating ideal habitat for Roe, Fallow and Muntjac.

Mr. Paul Burns
I reached out to Oli for some simulated deer stalking mainly to get used to shooting from sticks. We had an informative walk around shooting at steel deer targets that were set up to simulate various situations that you could find yourself in when stalking. Oli demonstrated different the set ups and then we shot at the targets using our own sticks getting used to the way you deploy them when mounting the rifle. Great few hours spent with a guy that knows his stuff! Thoroughly recommend Oli.

I reached out to Oli for my first experience deer stalking. He responded promptly and got me booked in for the following week. We started with a sim stalk and onto high seat for the evening. He was friendly and helpful, taking time to answer all my questions. The sim stalk was well set up with a variety of targets, and there are many high seats across the estate. He picked a high seat and we weren't sat long before seeing deer, getting two successful shots off at a muntjac and a fallow. Would highly recommend Oli to both novices and more experienced shots.

A fabulous 24 hours with Oli for my son and me. Oli was an incredible and engaging guide, taking us through all the aspects of deer management, firearms handling, ballistics, working with sticks and then carcass preparation. Oli was hugely professional, and soon put us at ease. The range and simulated stalk were invaluable and hugely worthwhile. Whilst also being great fun of themselves. We'll be looking to go again over the summer and then in November. Thanks so much, Oli. You far exceeded our expectations.

I have been on several stalks with other Deer Managers, but this afternoon turned out to the best one. I managed to take a muntjac and roe deer within 15minutes of getting out of Oli’s car. Great! Time with Oli. He is very professional and funny. Hoping to visit again next year.

I booked in with Oli after recently getting my own rifle, and being new to rifle ownership his range time and simulated stalk was very appealing! Friendly, welcoming and a really easy guy to talk to and ask questions. I made Oli fully aware that I had never shot my own rifle before and he was more than happy to help zero my rifle, fully clean and make sure it's functioning as it should. Explaining everything as we went along in really good but easy to understand detail. We did have a little set back as the ammo that I had purchased just wasn't landing where it should. Oli did absolutely everything to limit all of the factors until we knew it was just the wrong ammo weight for my rifle, by getting much more consistent results with multiple different rounds. We didn't move on from the range until we were both satisfied with the results. Oli then took me on a simulated stalk which was absolutely invaluable, talking me through and demonstrating how to comfortably deploy and get set up on shooting sticks. Talking everything through ensuring ensuring I understood, especially when using a high seat and handling a rifle. Shooting targets at the same distances as what is expected, aiming at the most humane kill areas. I left the simulated stalk feeling so much more confident and comfortable walking with a rifle over the shoulder and deploying my own shooting sticks. We then went on an evening stalk in a high seat which was very active but unfortunately the species that was intended did not show, typically the wrong species did show up in force. The following morning was a fantastic outing with no time to waste, up at the crack of dawn to try and catch the Roe getting breakfast. Scouting out and picking the best starting point and just searching for the deer was great, but with the full moon the Roe would have been stuffing themselves all night. All in all an absolutely fantastic few outings, Oli is brilliant and very knowledgeable! I am looking forward to going back!
