Eddington Estate

The Eddington Estate Shoot is situated one mile off the M4, junction 14, and only 70 minutes from the centre of London. The Estate is ideally situated for a day's shooting in beautiful English countryside. This is a family run shoot and we aim to offer a great days shooting with good hospitality. Our team here at Eddington work hard to produce a well organised, relaxed day for all our clients. Many of our guns return year after year, which speaks for itself.   Guns can be accomadated, if they so wish, in one of the family owned hotels, either The Vineyard at Stockcross, or, Donnington Valley Hotel near Newbury. The shoot is set over 2000 acres of mixed arable, ancient woodlands and well placed cover crops, to ensure a great days shooting. Early season is spent driving cover crops for Partridge, and, later we move into the mature woodlands to shoot pheasants.

Our days are normally 200 - 300 birds. Prices for this coming season 2019-2020 are as follows. An all inclusive day for 200 birds and above will be £44 per bird ex vat.

Guns are looked after by our shoot captain and driven to the drives in our gun bus, so no need for 4x4 vehicles. If there are any novices in the group, we have a first class shooting instructor who can be booked in advance. The morning consists of 4 drives with a break for hot sausages, spicy soup and a selection of drinks. Lunch is served in our lodge, where you will be served traditional shoot lunches with great wines. Depending on the bag, there will be 1 or 2 drives in the afternoon, finishing the day with tea and cake, friendly banter and the traditional handshake with the keeper.Guns are
