The Ardtaraig Shoot sits at the head Of Loch Striven in beautiful Argyll. Pheasants can be driven High and Handsome and Partridge driven round the hillside contours to Butts. The shoot offers varied drives and a day will generally include many different types of shooting. Our aim is to ensure all guns have a memorable and enjoyable day in a relaxed, safe environment where guns are encouraged to travel to the drives together in our purpose built gun bus.
Hospitality
Guns are welcome to stay in Ardtaraig House, if this is the case all meals and drinks are included. If guests only come for the day of the shoot then lunch and afternoon tea are provided by our resident cook and drinks are provided from 'The Ardtaraig Inn'!!
Topography
Argyll offers some spectacular scenery and the topography lends itself to some of the most challenging birds. These can be driven off hillsides or over wooded glens, making for some exciting high birds or challenging through the woods.
About the hosts
You will be hosted during your day a Ardtaraig to ensure the guns and their guests have a enjoyable day. Guns will be driven to each of the drives, placed on their pegs and served elevenses and lunch by the host.
