Alan Paine Combrook Tweed Coat Review

Alan Paine Combrook Tweed Coat Review

GunsOnPegs · 11 Dec 2018 · 2 min read

Alan Paine is a brand that is seemingly going from strength to strength in the shooting market: with more and more of their jackets being seen in shops and out in the field. We have reviewed the Combrook Tweed Shooting Coat which has added some fantastic new colour additions to it's collection.

Best features:

The Combrook Tweed Coat is exceptionally comfortable and very stylish, with my personal favourite tweed option being new Woodland tweed.

Most surprising feature:

Unlike many tweed jackets, the classic fit line of the Combrook is well fitted and will not drown those that are slightly slighter in stature in material. Many traditional alternatives make it feel like you are still wearing your fathers coat, but the Combrook comes in both Classic or Shooting (more generous) Fit, meaning that no matter your build, you are highly likely to find a fit for you!

With a more tailored fit, the Classic Fit has an action back pleat that gives you more movement when swinging making sure you remain comfortable when active on your peg.

Why I should consider this product:

Anyone who is after something that will keep them warm and dry, should consider this coat. My favourite colour is the new Woodland Tweed Colourway, which although remaining traditional, is a little different to a lot of the lighter coloured tweeds that are more regularly seen in the field.

Design for use in what kind of weather:

Traditional cold winter weather. This coat is one of those, that when it is bitter outside, feels as if it is giving you a cuddle. It will keep you warm and comfortable in the worst of conditions.

Price:

£359.95
