Countryside christmas gift ideas for ladies
British fashion label Mistamina was created by Lady Melissa Percy to give the classic British countryside look a bit of a youthful update. These two jumpers are from the company's second collection. Missy says: "I have aimed to create a range of outdoor performance clothes which are also feminine, contemporary and edgy... I've designed pieces which I would wear myself and which combine elegance with an active outdoor lifestyle."
The Stanley - wool and acrylic blend jumper from Mistamina - £90
The Stanley jumper's colour combination of a cream chunky knit with forest green elbow patches would look great on the shooting field and in the pub afterwords. The slim, round-neck style gives a feminine look.
The Sasha jumper - wool and acrylic blend jumper from Mistamina - £90
With a slightly brighter colour scheme, the Sasha is maybe best suited for the evening after the shoot than for wearing in the field, but it still looks great with a pair of breeks.
The Explorer - Waterproof leather boots from Fairfax & Favor - £425
Fairfax & Favor's boots are extremely popular among those in the the know and with good reason. Gone are the days of the clumpy wellington boot, and in with elegant country boots that keep you warm, dry and upright! Crafted in waxed leather and lined with a waterproof membrane, these award winning boots come in two colours - oak (pictured) and mahogany - and are the third and most advanced iteration of the Explorer design. The heavy duty Vibram rubber soles are hard-wearing and provide excellent grip, even on wet and muddy terrain. Oh, and they look pretty good too.
High waisted tweed breeks with storm cuff from Purdey - £450
As more and more ladies start to take up shooting there more shooting brands are starting to offer off-the-peg breeks. We especially like these 100% wool breeks from Purdey. The high waistband helps to give a feminine fit and allows for a shirt to be tucked in. The storm cuff, when worn with shooting socks, ensures that the weather is kept out, creating a waterproof seal for greater comfort in the field. The look is rounded off by a matching tweed belt.
Clara leather saddle bag style handbag from Dubarry - £129
This Saddle Bag from Irish countryside brand Dubarry channels cartridge bags in its design, and can help to finish off a classic country look, especially when teamed with tweeds - perfect for a day out shooting or at the races. The bag comes in full leather or a leather/Cordura mix, and in a range of colours. Inside there's a zip pocket for security and a leather phone pocket too.
Maple Tree vintage style silk scarf from Bella Singleton Scarves - £185
This printed silk design is inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement and the colours of Japanese maple trees. It is perfect wrapped twice around the neck on a day in the countryside, or left over the shoulders in the evening.
