Pheasant and Foliage Motif Pocket Square - £45
Whisper it, but I think most game shots are sectretly dandies at heart - there are not many other reasonable explanations for the somewhat silly outfits we all wear - tradition is merely an excuse. Adding a pocket square to an outfit is a quick and simple way to jazz up a boring old blazer or jacket, and this one, the pattern of which feaures some rather smart cock pheasants, is ideal. It comes in a choice of three colours - why not grab one of each?

Game Book - £235
Not enough people keep a game book these days, I feel. I was given one age 13 and I have tried to keep it as up to date as I can. It is a real pleasure to look back over season gone by and recall the wonderful days out in the field, the friends and family who were there and have a chuckle at some of the entries. "Guns: 8; Weather: heavy rain; Temperature: -1Pheasants: 2; Partridge: 3; Various: 11; Comments: Brilliant day - hilarious!" Who knows what those various may have been! Anyway, enough reminscing - a game book is a cracking gift, and one that can be enjoyed for years, even generations, to come.
Travel Bar Set - £360
Picture the scene: it is Boxing Day and the family has been chiselled and levered from the sofas and armchairs for the Traditional Boxing Day Walk. Under the weight of yesterday's turkey, mince pies and chocolate, no one quite feels up to it, but its traditional, so no one dares argue. About 20 minutes into the forced march, when you're far enough from home that nothing can reasonably be done about it, a fine drizzle begins to fall, accompanied by a sharp breeze. Everyone is miserable, despite the instigator of the walk of the party trying to convince everyone else to 'look at the view.' But then, to everyone's delight, someone produces a hip-flask of sloe gin and hands it around. Suddenly there is light at the end of the tunnel, and people perk up. Make sure this can happen. Give someone this Travel Bar Set this Christmas and make Boxing Day a day to remember. (Also works for long train journeys, Carol services and school speech days.)
