The Big Fat Country Quiz - Game and Shooting

Before the lockdown, GunsOnPegs had teamed up with Musto to put on an evening's quizzing to raise money to support the GWCT's Knowledge initiative. Sadly, as with almost every other event in the calender between March and... July(?), Covid-19 stimied the event.

However, we had written the questions, and it seemed a shame to waste them, and we thought that it might provide some entertainement for people stuck at home.

If you enjoy this quiz, scroll to the bottom to find out how you can use your knowledge to become an "Accredited Game Shot" for FREE. Over 6,000 people have already taken the test on the law around shooting and the benefits of game management to conservation.

The quiz will run over four rounds, over the next five weeks: Game and Shooting, a 'music' round, a picture round and a General Knowledge round.

The people with the people highest score on each round will will be entered into a draw to be in with a chance to win a GunsOnPegs Premium membership worth £75 and a Musto cap and a copy of The Knowledge, and the person with the highest combined score across the four rounds will win a Musto Highland Gore-Tex Primaloft Jacket worth £400.

New free Accredited Game Shot test

Many of these questions are drawn from the GWCT's "The Knowledge". If you enjoyed this quiz, you might like to take part in the new Game Shot Accreditation scheme created by the GWCT. It has been designed to help Guns understand the law around shooting and the conservation benefits of game management, ensuring that high standards are upheld on shoots. It takes less than 20 minutes to complete and you receive a certificate on passing, which is valid for four years. The voluntary online test is based on the content of The Knowledge, a guidebook which covers information on various game species, the law, best practice and the major issues facing shooters today.
