John Dickson & Son Workshop Tour, Shooting & Whiskey

John Dickson & Son was established in Edinburgh in 1820. The company gained fame through its round action, a uniquely Scottish trigger plate mechanism that is admired for its strength, elegance and balance. Today, the gunmaker is owned and run by the very talented J-P Daeschler who will be hosting this Premium member event.

Itinerary of the day:

• The event will start with an hour in the Dickson shop with an overview of the company 
• A visit to the workshop shop to meet the craftsmen building the guns
• This will all be rounded off with a dram from the local distillery in a commemorative glass which you will get to keep
• You will then head to the shooting ground next door for a round of clays where you can try a Dickson or MacNaughton gun as well as shoot your own gun for comparison
• A light lunch will be provided at the end along with refreshments during the course of the morning

Tickets to this GunsOnPegs Premium member event are complimentary and spaces are available on a first come, first served basis. We need a minimum of six people to make this happen and a maximum party size of 10.

Unlike other events, each Premium member is allowed to bring one guest to enjoy the day with.
