What are the Eat Game Awards?

Aimed at stimulating demand, interest and respect for the produce of the game industry on a national scale, the event will promote this unique, sustainable, natural British produce and highlight to the British public the field to fork ethos.

The Eat Game Awards look to encourage people to experience and consume game, explaining where it can be bought, consumed across the country and prepared and eaten in the home.

The categories reflect the ever-growing use of wild game from 'Best Farmers Market Stall' to 'Best Game Restaurant' to 'Best Small and Large Retailer selling Game'. The awards will be held at Boisdale Canary Wharf, renowned leaders in presenting game to their customers.

The figures for game consumption which are building strongly have been aided by the adoption of British game by restauranteurs across the country – its revival in many modern and traditional restaurants should be widely celebrated. Given that 72% of consumers never eat game (Mintel 2016) the next step of making eating game in the home more attractive and accepted will be a key focus of the awards.
