Having completed a remarkable fieldsports Odyssey, let's look back at our favourite photos from the trip, as well as some of the best moments from the week.

Ready for the off

A six-day, multi-species, multi-discipline roadtrip requires a fair bit of kit!

Day One - Driven pheasant shooting at Studley Royal

...to stretch the barrels and loosen the shoulders...

Day Two - walked up grouse in the Borders

The Duke of Roxburghe's glorious estate was the stage for the next challenge:

Day Three: Duck flighting and salmon fishing on the banks of the Tweed

An early start presents the opportunity to add a duck or two to the tally.

Day Four - Stalking in Northumberland

...but spooked them.

The chance to find some wild birds also drew a blank - not for want of opportunity!

Day Five - wildfowling and gamekeeping in Suffolk

Mornings on the foreshore can be glorious...

...but for every epic sunrise there's knee-deep mud and a missed bird.

Nothing a cuddle with a spaniel can't make up for!

Day Six - walked-up game and wild food feasting

The Odyssey drew to a close as the Grenadier saw our boys safely to Grimsthorpe Castle

and good company.

At lunchtime it was time to enjoy the fruits of the journey:
