Purdey adds 28 and 20 bores to trigger plate range

Purdey have added to their range of trigger plate over-and-under shotguns with stunning 28 bore and 20-bore offerings - let's take a closer look.

This year Purdey have expanded their trigger plate range of over and under shotguns to include varients for those who prefer to use smaller, more lightweight guns, with a 20-bore and a 28-bore. The actions are based upon their award-winning 12-Bore trigger plate action, launched in 2018. Every part has been redesigned and sized to create a perfectly-scaled actions, incorporating the classic Purdey lines and outstanding finish.

Smaller, but just as strong, and just as beautiful

Purdey say that like the 12-Bore, the 20-Bore and 28-bore actions have been rigorously tested to ensure that they can easily handle all modern cartridges currently offered and, as with all their new guns, this includes being steel proofed. The unique detachable trigger mechanism allows for ease of maintenance as well as additional security when travelling.

As one would expect with bespoke guns there are range of optional upgrades and features that can be chosen when ordering one of these models. In response to recent client demand, Purdey have now introduced a selective single trigger mechanism as an optional upgrade.
