The AYA Sfera: a well rounded side by side

With the increasing popularity of the rounded action over-and-unders, it is worth noting that AYA, veteran gunmakers of Spain, have a beautiful example of a rounded bar side-by-side in their stable and it goes by the evocative name of ‘Sfera’.

Many gunmakers produce rounded bar sidelocks, but AYA have taken the rounding of this gun even further, by imparting a curvature to the lock plates themselves thereby achieving an even greater effect of ‘roundedness’.

Engraving

In a departure from the predictable scroll engravings one often sees on shotguns, AYA have chosen a bold ‘art nouveau’ style of engraving, reminiscent of the glorious days of design in the late 19^th and early 20^th century, coinciding with the heady days of Edwardian shoots.

Features

The Sfera is stocked with oil finished Nº 1 grade walnut made to your individual measurements and in a wide choice of gauges (available in 12, 16, 20, 28 bore and .410 calibre) and barrel lengths (from 25” to 32”).
