Produced and assembled in their Absam factory at the foothills of the Austrian Alps, Swarovski are renowned for their fantastic glass and the clarity that it gives as well as their innovation from products like the DS telescopic site with its automatic holding point, which takes into account distance, air pressure, temperature, and angle. This review however is on the CL Companion binoculars.
Swarovski CL Companion 8x30
The Swarovski CL Companions that I tested are the 8x30’s, however they are also available in 10x30. For me the 8x30 model gives you that little bit extra in terms of field of view, which I prefer given the majority of stalking I do is in woodland or on the edges of.
The colour choices for the CL Companions are green (the synonymous green of Swarovski) or anthracite (black) and they come in both 8x30 and 10x30.

Best features:
The best thing about these binoculars is that they are pocket sized and weigh only 490 grams, but still have a fantastic field of view. They are more affordable than other Swarovski binoculars and for a lot of the hunting that I do in the UK and Europe they are more than adequate.
Most surprising feature:
The field of view and crispness of the image is surprising given the size and weight of the product.
Why I should consider this product:
I believe everyone can get a huge amount of enjoyment out of a pair of binoculars, whether they are; a hunter, a birder or just someone who appreciates nature, a sunset or a fine view. In the CL Companions you have all the quality and clarity of a Swarovski product in pocket size.
Country this product is manufactured:
Austria
Designed for use in what kind of weather:
I have only used this product in typical UK and European conditions and I would recommend contacting the manufacturer to find out if using them in sub-arctic conditions could cause it problems.
Price:
930 GBP
