The new Hull Partridge Cartridge

Why did you decide to bring the Partridge Cartridge to the market?

"The team at Hull cartridge are actively involved in gameshooting and have connections throughout the sport. There are two major reasons for the Partridge Cartridge coming to the market.

1. The misconception that shot size over pattern kills partridges. Many of us have been to high partridge shoots and seen people using 4’s (shot size) on partridges because of the height. A single pellet won’t consistently bring a partridge down (unless in the head). What has been neglected is the importance of the pattern, so we’ve created a very smooth, dense patterning cartridge that will hold it’s pattern.
2. The Partridge Cartridge has just enough lethality – if we are striving to put more game into the food chain, it should be cleanly killed without excessive meat damage from oversized shot.

The 32 gram load gives us dense patterning – the smoothness allows that dense pattern to hold at distance and the 5.5 shot gives the killing energy."

What makes this cartridge so suitable for partridges?

"The cartridge has a fantastic mixture of being very smooth and very lethal. It is also perfect for modern side-by-sides (low recoil) and can be used on busier drives without getting fatigue."

What are the specifications of the cartridge?

"The partridge cartridge comes in a 12 gauge, 70mm case with 5.5 shot and the speed is 1410 FPS (feet per second)."

Why is this cartridge better for partridge shooting than its competitors?

"It has low recoil, it is incredibly consistent and well thought out in terms of case specification. The load volume and shot size is brought to the market by experts in ammunition. We develop cartridges for specific use because we understand the requirements from years of experience in the field."
